CCW Instructor was formed to fill a void. Traditional CWL training usually forces citizens to take a public group class with others of varying experience, outside of their home. They will have to conform to that school’s schedule, not their own convenience. Most are held at a gun store.
CCW Instructor specializes in private, personalized Concealed Weapons Training of you, your spouse, your family, or your very close friends in the privacy and comfort of your home. If you are a single woman of any age requesting solo training, your personal CCW Instructor will bring his wife, when training you in your house, to enhance your feeling of comfort and safety.

We have special real firearms that have been retrofitted to function on compressed air, give the shooter full recoil, and shoot a laser beam at the target.
We can train from one to six people at your location. If you are a woman requesting solo training, your instructor will bring his wife, so that you feel safe and comfortable.
When training for a Florida concealed weapons license, a live-fire test is required by the state. Your instructor will accompany you to a local gun range for that part of your test. We can also arrange to train small groups at our local gun range, if that is preferred.
The same exact methods are used for those who elect to take additional self-defense training. Some will be in your house. And when you are comfortable shooting without live ammo, we will go to a local gun range for live fire training.
That is an excellent question, but unfortunately there is no concrete answer.
Everyone has a different amount of ability regarding eye-hand coordination, focus of concentration, trigger squeeze, breath control, and raw talent for shooting, or for any other technical physical activity.
Remember when, before you got your driver’s license, you had never driven an automobile? Most people take several lessons from a driving instructor, or a parent, before they learn the basics of driving. Then they have to pass a written test on the traffic laws, and a driving test. So, when you got your driver’s license, even though you probably thought you knew everything, you only had the minimum amount of knowledge and experience needed to drive.
How long after you got your driver’s license, did it take you to become highly proficient, and safe at driver? That probably depended on the amount of driving that you did (practice), and your attitude and level of maturity.
Motor vehicles driven by minimally trained drivers often kill the driver, other people in the car, as well as people in other cars around them on the road that day.
So, the answer is, the number of lessons that one should take are based on them, and the level of expertise of the instructor to correct the shooters mistakes before them become bad habits.
The best course of action is to recognize that taking basic pistol training for either a CWL pistol permit, or safe Permit Less Carry, only proves that you’ve got the basics. You proved that you know some of the applicable law, and that you can load and fire a gun at a paper target. Becoming a highly proficient self-defender takes time and dedication. So, you take one lesson at a time, and then you go home and dry-fire practice what you learned. Your test is to return to the range and see how well you’ve absorbed what you learned.
The law is the law written and passed by the government. It isn’t based on your personal form of logic and common sense. How many laws do you know that don’t make any sense to you?
It is important to know if you are legally entitled to defend yourself, and what level of force you can legally use.
If you are legally entitled to defend yourself, it is important to know whether you should produce a non-lethal weapon or a lethal weapon.
It is important to know when you can legally draw a lethal weapon, and when you cannot.
It is important to know when you can legally shoot a lethal weapon, and when you cannot.
Miss only one of the four legal elements necessary to make a self-defense claim, and you could be spending the next twenty years in prison!
There is a world of difference between shooting on a farm, hunting, or even competing in a pistol match, with actual self-defense.
Shooting on a farm, hunting, or even competing in a pistol contest are all based on conscious thought. Even in competition, the conscious mind is busy carrying a 32-page rule book around. These types of shooting are antithetical to self-defense training.
Self-defense requires a blazingly fast draw with acceptable accuracy, and superior tactics, while someone else is trying to kill you. Self-defense shooting requires automatic reactions that come from the sub-conscious mind, not the conscious mind. This is an entirely different type of training. There are no second-place winners in a lethal confrontation.
In my opinion, people who have trained themselves to shoot by whatever method, a parent, a friend, or YouTube videos, can only advance so far. The majority of the time, they are incorrectly trained, and making a lot of mistakes that slow down their draw, and diminish their level of accuracy.
So, they practice, sometimes a lot, under the misnomer that practice makes perfect. But what they are practicing is their mistakes. A poorly trained shooter is far worse than an untrained shooter.
Only perfect practice makes perfect.
Your CCW Instructor has himself had a life time of training, by some very prestigious instructors. He has the experience to analyze your technique and pick out the mistakes that you are making. He’ll teach you proper technique, based on your body style, and level of abilities.
How good are you at absorbing rehems of new information that is being thrown at you at a high rate of speed?
Do you want to be taught at the rate that you can learn and absorb?
Do you want to have the opportunity and ability to ask all of the questions that you have, as they pop into your mind? You can only accomplish that with private training that isn’t rushed.
Or, in order to save a few dollars, do you want to try to compete for atention with a room full of other people that you’ve never met before? A group class generally has a set amount of time for the class, so you will have to grasp what you can during the class.
Poor training is worse than no training.
Legally, yes! Once you’ve obtained your Florida CWL, you can legally carry in Florida and about 38 other states with reciprocity.
However, would you expect the roads to be safe, if all it took to get a driver’s license was a 3 – 4-hour class on theory and a brief multiple-choice test to see if you can start a car and drive it around the block?
Important: After you get your Florida CWL, you’ll want professional firearms training to learn how to defend yourself, and when you can use your gun to defend yourself and others. You’re a good guy or gal. Out on the street; the bad guys will always ambush you and have the drop on you.
Self-defense shooting requires tremendous speed and skill. In most cases you will have less than two seconds to save your life, and the lives of your loved ones. Compliance may not be an option, since there is nothing to stop the criminal from shooting you just because he is evil. This happens all too often!
Becoming a competent self-protector takes patience, and an excellent instructor who can analyze your abilities, your strengths and weaknesses, and mold his instruction to guide you, as a unique individual, to success.
As stated previously, with our exclusive equipment, you will quickly learn how to shoot, in the comfort of your own airconditioned home! We have real pistols, that have been retrofitted with a special barrel that makes them function on CO2 gas, instead of live ammunition.
These guns shoot a laser beam instead of bullets. So, when we train you, you can safely shoot these real pistols inside of your house, and feel real recoil, when you pull the trigger, just like with live ammo. The 3-millisecond flash of the laser beam will show you exactly where a real bullet would have hit or missed the target. You will feel safe, comfortable and confident when we accompany you to experience live-fire on a local gun range as well.
